Redmond Herrity
Redmond Herrity, who works from his home place of Ramelton in County Donegal, Ireland, has travelled extensively, creating private and public commissions throughout Ireland and abroad. From classical portraiture in marble to modern sculpture in steel, Redmond’s work is shaped by both enduring craft traditions and contemporary art – the result is work that is relevant to its context, engaging and enjoyable.
A regular exhibitor at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin, he won the Connor Moran Award for Outstanding Sculpture in 2009, and the Morgan O’Driscoll Sculpture Award in 2019.
